This monster shad of 5.6kg is now the new running leader in the Fish Zone Biggest shad compo. Compo ends 31 Dec '09

Shad compo leader

Currently leading the Fish Zone Biggest Shad compo is Mr.Chris Naidoo with a 3,46kg beauty caught from South Pier Richards Bay. Compo ends December 31/09.

20,4kg King

Mr. Eric du Preez caught this here 20,4kg King from the surf yesterday (13/12/09). The bait used was a shad head. The last big King in the Bay was also caught on a head so I guess it is fair to say that this year the Kingies is "heading" our way.

Dropshot Compo

This Saturday, 12/12/09, there will be yet another Great Dropshot competition at Pelican Island. With prizes worth over R10 000 it looks to be bigger and better than the one held back in February. Please come and join us dropshotting this event. All funds made will go towards Pathways Zululand for children with Autism. Entry fees is only R50-00 p/person.  Compo start at 12h00 and end at 16h00.

Prize giving will take place from 17h00 from Fish Zone where there will be wors-rolls for sale and some free drinks.

Dropshot for Autism 2009

This Saturday (12/12/09) Pelican Island will host a number of eager dropshot anglers who will participate in yet another dropshoting event. This time round it is the kids of Pathways Zululand who will benefit from all the funding. Please come and enjoy the day, let us all dropshot for Autism!

Nice Kob

This here nice 23.5kg kob was caught on this morning 08/12/09 from Richards Bay North Pier on live shad. These monsters are clearly still around.
